As for activities that have the potential to violate professional ethics during the implementation of New-Normal in my opinion, namely:
1. Limiting the number of passengers in a public transport
Owners of public transportation certainly want the maximum profit, usually they will maximize the existing space in the vehicle. The more passengers that fit in one vehicle, the greater the benefits to be gained by the owner of public transportation. However, this will no longer be valid if it is a new normal period, because later passengers in public transportation must be 1 meter away from other passengers. It could be that the owner of public transportation will only receive very small profits, instead it does not rule out bankruptcy because it does not return capital. For example: a public transport fixes a price of Rp.4,000.00 for a single trip, either far or near, if there are only 10 passengers in one trip, a Rp.40,000.00 money will be obtained, whereas the cost of gasoline for one way is Rp.25,000 00 not yet money to eat etc. If a net profit of Rp.10,000 is obtained in one run, then the owner of the public transport will feel the loss because the energy and maintenance costs of the public transport are not comparable with the profits.
2. Limiting the number of employees entering a company
Some things that might happen if there are restrictions on the number of employees entering are:
a. Limitation of the number of employees who enter this can result in layoffs
b. Slowing down a job
c. One person will do many tasks, so he is overworked.
· Limiting the number of employees who enter will certainly make the company think to maximize the workforce they have, will be selected by people who are considered productive only according to their needs, while those who feel less productive will be laid off. In addition to saving on expenses, they also do what the government recommends.
· Slowing down a job
Why can slow down a job? Because there are employees who are off that day, even though the results of their work are needed as soon as possible. For example: Due to restrictions on the number of employees entering, the director of engineering felt that he could work from home alone, but apparently at the time the hotel needed to buy an item that day because it was important and urgent. But because the director of engineering is not in the hotel, someone needs to go to his house to ask for a signature, so that the item is immediately purchased. This will take a long time, because I have to go to the director of engineering's house just to ask for approval of the agreement
· One person will do many tasks, so he is overworked.
Every company should provide jobs according to the ability of the person, but due to restrictions on incoming employees, the incoming employees are required to do other things as well, it may be that the employee will overtime every day because the portion of work given is quite a lot. This will eventually have an impact on the employee's health.
3. Prohibit workers over 50 years from entering work
The worker may have a prime body condition so that he is able to work, but due to the regulation the worker is threatened to lose his job.
In addition, most company heads are 50 years and older, so what happens if they are not allowed to come to the company. They have to come at least 1-2 times a week, but due to these restrictions they cannot see the company's condition directly, and only receive reports from employees who still work within the company.
